Together with excluding the lead from the production came some problems for the PCB producers. The Printed Co. has chosen several ways how to exclude the SnPb solder:
- classic HAL with lead-free solder. Flat pads can not be achieved by this method.
- galvanic gilding. This method provides absolutely flat pads which are good solderable. The PCBs with the galvanic gold are storable for a long time.
- OSP-technology. Also this method provides absolutely flat pads which are good solderable. The storage time is limited. OSP is especially suitable
for one-sided PCBs for wave-soldering.
